Slow cooker hot beef sandwiches with Au Jus sauce

--I love cooking but sometimes it's nice to throw everything in the slow cooker and not worry about it for 6 or 7 hours! This was a very easy recipe that I slightly modified to give the beef more flavor--

INGREDIENTS:

2 1/2 lb - Beef round roast; trimmed of fat (mine only had one small patch of fat so just pick a good one at the store)
6tsp - minced garlic
2tbsp - pepper
1/2cup - beef broth
packet of Au Jus sauce (I used McCormick)
some kind of rolls or bread

STEP 1:
Cut 6 "pockets" into the meat and stuff 1tsp of garlic in each. Then rub the entire roast with pepper

STEP 2:
Pour 1/2 cup of beef broth in the slow cooker and then place the meat in. Cook on low for 6-7 hours. (This time will vary based on cooker and size of meat, just cut into it and check to make sure its done to your liking)

STEP 3:
When meat is done remove it to a plate and let the meat rest and discard remaining liquid in the cooker. BECAREFUL! It will be hot, let it cool a few minutes first. In the mean time make the Au Jus sauce according to package.

STEP 4:
When the meat is cool enough to handle thinly slice the whole thing and just move it back to the plate.

STEP 5:
Lighlty butter and toast your choice of bread. We tried both hamburger buns and sliced french bread. The french bread tasted alot better.

STEP 6:
BUILD YOUR SANDWICH! We used about 4 slices per sandwich and served the sauce in a little glass ramakin on the side for dipping. You could also spoon the sauce down over your meat and eat it like that.

*You could even add some sauteed onions or tomatoes to these
*This made a TON of meat and could easily feed 6 people maybe more depending on how much meat you like

ENJOY!
